Scope of the conference

SCOPE OF THE CONFERENCE

The conference will provide a forum to present and discuss new results on synthesis, crystal structure and properties of intermetallic and related compounds.

Previous conferences were held in Lviv in 1971, 1974, 1978, 1983, 1989, 1995, 1999, 2002, 2005, 2007, 2010, 2013, 2016.

Conference sites

On Monday, September 23, the conference sessions will take place in the Main Building of the Ivan Franko National University of Lviv. On Tuesday, September 24, and Wednesday, September 25, they will take place in the nearby Bank Hotel.

Registration – Conference secretariat

Registration will start on Sunday, September 22. From Monday, September 23, the secretariat will be situated at the conference site and remain open during the conference.

Sunday, September 22, 1400-1800: Department of Inorganic Chemistry, Ivan Franko National University of Lviv.

Monday, September 23, 800-1800: Main Building of the Ivan Franko National University of Lviv.

Proceedings

Proceedings will be published in the journal Chemistry of Metals and Alloys (http://chemetal-journal.org). An electronic version of the manuscript should be submitted to the journal office (chemetal@lnu.edu.ua; subject: IMC-XIV proceedings) before October 15, 2019.

Oral presentations

Equipment for computer presentation is available for the speakers. Please contact the secretariat before your presentation, in order to check your CD / flash-drive.

Poster presentations

The posters will be displayed on Tuesday, September 24 (posters P1-P52) and Wednesday, September 25 (posters P53-P104). The authors are kindly requested to be present near their posters during the poster sessions (1400-1530).

VII School for Young Scientists “X-ray Diffraction: Single-Crystal Methods

The School will take place on September 19-21, 2019 at the Department of Inorganic Chemistry of the Ivan Franko National University of Lviv. ABSTRACTS

Participants who would like to make an oral or a poster presentation are invited to submit an abstract
(1 page A4) on any aspect of crystal chemistry (crystal structures, phase diagrams, physical properties, software) of intermetallic and related compounds. Accepted contributions will be included in the book of abstracts, which will be distributed to the participants, and will also be available on line. Oral presentations will be selected on the basis of the submitted abstracts.

The abstracts must be written in English.

Please submit your abstract by e-mail to the IMC Conference Secretariat. The text should be prepared in A4 format with Times New Roman Font 12 point, using single spacing (margins: top – 3.5 cm, bottom, left, right – 2.5 cm), following the example shown below. A Microsoft Word template can be downloaded and used as starting point.

The registration desk will be open on Sunday, September 22 (14:00-18:00) and will remain open throughout the duration of the conference for information and general assistance.

 

CONFERENCE FEES

All  participants  must  register  and  pay  the conference  fee:  UAH 600 for regular  participants and UAH 300 for PhD students and accompanying persons from Ukraine, EUR  300 for  regular participants and EUR 150 for PhD students and accompanying persons living in other countries.

Conference fees for regular participants include attendance to all scientific sessions, the book of abstracts and the get-together party.

Conference fees for accompanying persons cover the complete social program.

Participants from Ukraine should pay by postal transfer before September 10, 2019 to:

ACCOMMODATION

Participants may book accommodation in advance by returning the registration and accommodation form before August 31, 2019. Accommodation must be paid directly to the hotel. Indicative prices (April 2019) per room and night include breakfast (except for University Guesthouse).
